Obituary

CREADY "GENE" CHAPMAN, 75, of Lesage passed away Monday, April 11, 2005, in Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis, Ohio. Funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 14, 2005, at Heck Funeral Home, Milton, with the Rev. Bobby Ray officiating. Burial will follow in Guyan Creek Cemetery, Glenwood, W.Va. He was born July 18, 1929, a son of the late Cready and Margeret Mount Chapman. He was also preceded in death by one son, Larry Chapman. He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, James and Beverly Chapman of Glenwood and Roy and Connie Chapman of Ashton, W.Va.; one daughter, Barbara Thacker of Huntington; their mother, Matilda Wray of Glenwood; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and several special friends. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
