Obituary

MILDRED SOVINE, 73, of Culloden went home to be with her Lord, Saturday, Dec. 24, 2005 at Putnam General Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2005, at Heck Funeral Home, Milton with the Rev. Sonny Sovine officiating. Burial will follow in Culloden Cemetery. Mildred was born Jan. 4, 1932, a daughter of the late Clarence and Leelia Fought Edwards. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Emzie "Cuz" Sovine; two brothers, Boyd Clay Edwards and Robert Odell Edwards; two sisters, Kinas Humphries and Inez Edwards. Mildred is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Vernon Bird of Culloden; three sons and three daughter-in-laws, Rick and Rawnie Shay Sovine of Culloden, Gary and Teresa Sovine of Cleveland, Ga. and Bruce and Debbie Sovine of Clover, S.C.; three sisters, Bonnie Perry and husband Jack, Maxine Pauley and Phala Sigmon and husband Glenn; two brothers, Lester Edwards and wife Margaret and Clinton Edwards; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2005, at Heck Funeral Home, Milton.
