ObituaryJOHN BENJAMIN GENTRY, 93, of Milton passed away Thursday, June 9, 2005, in St. Mary's Medical Center. A memorial service will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday, June 13, 2005, in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, with Cheryl Winter officiating. John was born April 23, 1912, in Green County, Virginia, a son of the late John and Blanche Jolliett Gentry. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Helen Gentry and grandson, Andy Farmer. He served his country in World War II in the 82nd Airborne Division. He was a member of the Elks Lodge. He is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Steve and Judy Gentry and Phillip Gentry; one daughter and son-in-law, Kay and Joe Farmer; five grandchildren, Scott Gentry, Jarrod Gentry, Jackie Gentry, Mark Farmer and Jenny Keaton; three great-grandchildren, Joshua Gentry, Ben Keaton and Eli Keaton; and one sister, Mary Eye. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to a charity of your choice.
