Obituary

Maxine Meldine Spurlock Greathouse, 65, of Lesage, WV went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 1, 2006 in Hospice House of Huntington.  Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, December 4, 2006 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton with Rev. Ronald Long officiating.  Burial will follow in Forest Memorial Park, Milton.  She was born December 15, 1940 in Lesage, a daughter of the late George and Alfie Stowasser Spurlock.  She was also preceded in death by one brother and four sisters.  She was a homemaker and a graduate of Barboursville High School Class of 1959.  She was also a member of Fairfield United Methodist Church of Glenwood, WV.  She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Dallas Greathouse; one son and two daughters and their spouses, Dreama and Theon Ashworth of Glenwood, WV, Randy and Barbie Greathouse of Proctorville, OH, Cindy and Dwayne Bowman of Lesage, WV; three grandchildren, Mark Dailey, of Proctorville, OH, Hannah and Heather Ashworth of Glenwood, WV; two brothers and one sister, George and Alice Spurlock Jr., Ethel and Max Hesson both of Glenwood, WV, Roger Spurlock of Lesage, WV; one brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Rufus Greathouse and Landora Greathouse both of Glenwood, WV.  The family would like to send a special thank you to Hospice of Huntington, WV.  Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, December 3, 2006 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton and one hour prior to services on Monday.
