Obituary

THELMA KATHLEEN ALLEN, 75, of Barboursville, formerly of Milton, went home to be with her Lord, Monday, March 13, 2006, peacefully in her sleep. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday, March 16, 2006, at Heck Funeral Home, Milton, with the Rev. Charles Norris officiating. Burial will follow in Bias Chapel Cemetery, Milton. Thelma was born November 3, 1930, in Cabell County, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Emory Weldon and Louise Anna Chapman Meadows. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Sherman Allen; one daughter, Rebecca Karen Arthur; two stepsons, Sidney Allen and Sampie Allen; three brothers, Denver Meadows, Lee Meadows and Luther Meadows. Thelma was a member of Mt. Olive United Methodist Church. She is survived by six daughters, Mary Louise Accord, Anna Christine Thomas, Joyce Marie Matthews, Barbara Pauley, Diana Faye Thomas and Regina Kay Waggoner; four sons, James D. Arthur, Frank E. Arthur, David L. Arthur and Johney Allen; five stepdaughters, Alma Cline, Pauline Garrison, Velda Ratcliffe, Drema Allen and Darlene Bonds; one stepson, Aldie Allen; three sisters, Martha Glover, Betty Neisess and Elta Mae Eckman; one brother, Delbert Meadows and a host of grandchildren. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, March 15, 2006, at Heck Funeral Home, Milton.
