Ivan Kelson Cooper, 85 of I.K. touched the lives of thousands of students in During his spare time he farmed and enjoyed quail hunting. After each season many enjoyed the annual .Bird Feed . He was very active with his Church, Chestnut Grove Baptist. He taught various Sunday School Classes and served as Senior Deacon for many years. He was also a member of the WV Republican Committee, Phi Delta Kappa, WV Association of Elementary and Middle School Principals and Lebanon Lodge #68 AFAM. He leaves behind his wife of 59 years Myrtle Courts Cooper, a son and daughter-in-law Kim and Joyce Cooper, and grandchildren Kelsi Leigh and Colin Andrew Cooper. Also surviving is one sister, Anice Cooper Conrad. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2006 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton.
