Obituary

Mary Elizabeth  Libby  (Blackwood) Handley, 93, of Milton passed away Saturday, October 14, 2006 in Teays Valley Center, Hurricane.  Funeral service will be conducted 11:00 AM, Monday, October 16, 2006 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton with Rev. Joseph Jarrett officiating.  Burial will follow in Valley View Memorial Park, Hurricane.  She was born October 26, 1912 in Huntington, WV a daughter of the late Grover and Bertha Phipps Blackwood.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Handley; brothers, Grover, Jr. and Joel; sisters, Lena Morgan, Sue Kinder, and Betty Leadmon.  She was a retired office manager with Milton Water Works.  She was a member of Milton Methodist Church.  She is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and other family.  A special thanks to caregivers at Teays Valley Center.  Flowers will be accepted or you may make donations to your local food bank, or help a needy family during the holiday season.  Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM on Sunday, October 15, 2006 at Heck Funeral Home.
