Obituary
Devoted husband, father,
brother, and grandfather, Robert F. Jimison, 78, of Culloden
went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 1, 2007 in St. Mary’s
Medical
Center.
Funeral service will be conducted 11 AM , Tuesday, April 3, 2007 at
Heck Funeral Home, Milton with Pastor Mike Lewis officiating.
Burial will follow in
Bias
Chapel
Cemetery,
Milton.
Graveside military rites will be conducted. He was born
January 14, 1929 in
Logan,
WV a son of the late William R.
and Lola Lee Jimison. He was also preceded by his
brother, William Reed; two sisters, Nellie Chaney and Betty Morris.
Bob was a member of
Union
Baptist
Church and sang gospel
music for the last 65 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran
and served in the Korean Conflict. He was past deacon of
his church and served as chaplain for the VFW Post 9796, of which he was a
member. He devoted his life to his family and being a
good and faithful servant to the Lord. It was his wish
for all his family to be Christians and accept Jesus Christ as their
personal savior. He is survived by his loving wife,
Joyce J. Jimison; two sons, Gregory and Debbie Jimison of Ona, and Barton
and Donna Jimison of Culloden; one daughter, Lorie J. and Jimmy Fitzwater of
Culloden; brother, Richard E. and Nellie Jimison of Edwardsburg, MI;
grandchildren, Matthew and Amber Hanna, Hunter R. Fitzwater and Carrie
Cullom; greatgrandchildren, Sadie and Tucker Cullom; and a host of nieces
and nephews. Friends may call from 6 to 8 PM on Monday,
April 2, 2007 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton. In lieu of
