Katherine Jackson Mays, 85, of
Huntington passed away Tuesday, April 10,
2007 in St. Mary’s
Medical
Center.
Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 14, 2007
at Heck Funeral Home, Milton with Pastor Daniel Beaver
officiating. Burial will follow in
Balls
Gap
Cemetery.
She was born January 29, 1922 in
Milton,
WV a
daughter of the late Amos “Dean” and Minerva Stanley Jackson.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ira Trenton Mays; two
daughters, Myrtle and Janice Mays; son, Ernie Mays; sister, Zelphia Jowett;
four brothers, Lonnie, James, Ray, and Russell Jackson; and one great
grandson. She is survived by two sons, Eugene and Joann
Mays of Barboursville and Bernard and Millie Mays of Columbus, OH; four
daughters, Bertha and Willard Bailey of Columbus, OH, Eva and Bill Cremeans
of Huntington, Betty and Ron Tanner of Huntington, and Brenda Jackson of
Dayton, OH; two brothers, Lloyd Jackson of Indiana and Harry Jackson of
Milton; sister, Edna Davis of Milton; 16 grandchildren, 37 great
grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. In
honor of Clarcia’s wishes, friends may call from 6 to9 PM on Friday, April
13, 2007, at her residence,
353 33rd Street,
Huntington.
Friends may also call after 1 PM on Saturday at the funeral home.
