Obituary

Aaron D. Payton, 74, of Culloden, passed away Monday, November 19, 2007 in St. Mary’s Medical Center.  Funeral service will be conducted 1:00 PM, Saturday, November 24, 2007 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton with Rev. Roman Brown officiating.  Entombment will follow in Forest Memorial Park, Milton.  He was born September 27, 1933 in Cabell County, WV a son of the late Albert and Christine Bledsoe Payton.  He was also preceded in his death by his wife, Alma Jean Payton; his son, Richard “Donnie” Payton.  He was a retired chemical operator for Union Carbide.  He was a U.S. Air Force veteran serving in the Korean Conflict.  He was a member of the American Legion, Post 177, Barboursville.  He is survived by his son, Greg and Amy Payton of Huntington; two daughters, Sherry Cupp of Milton, and Kandel and Danny Cain of South Point, OH; brother, Roy Payton; six grandchildren, Oak Cupp, Chris Valerio, Donovan Payton, Sarah-Brooke Mankins, Elizabeth Payton, and Cathy Bowyer; one great grandchild, McKenzie Cupp.    Friends may call from 6 to 9 PM on Friday, November 23, 2007 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton.  Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Hospice of Huntington.
