Raymond Strank “Pap” Saunders, 93, was born August 23, 1917 in Barboursville, WV. On November 15, 2010, God and Jesus took your hands to be with them. You always loved sunny days and the winds of change came today and lifted your soul into heaven. Now you are smiling, healed, and forever free of pain, kidding and joking as you loved to do. You are now with your loved ones, your wife of 69 years, Lorraine Pancake Saunders, your mom and dad, Blair and Hilda Saunders, and your son and daughter-in-law, Petey and Gail Saunders, who you missed so much. You are loved and cherished by your daughter Sherry Noble, sons Calvert and Todd and their spouses, six grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and very special friend, Gladys Peterson, as well as many other friends. Pete worked for Union Carbide for 39 years and he and Lorraine operated Lorraine’s Monogramming for 15 years. A service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 20, 2010, at White Chapel Memorial Gardens Chapel, Barboursville with Rev. Brent Beckett officiating. A luncheon will follow at Fellowship Baptist Church, west of the cemetery on Route 60. There will be no visitation.
