Gene Spraggins, 74, of Brunswick, passed away on August 4, 2011. He was born on May 2, 1937 in Alabama to Frank and Josephine. He is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Carolyn; loving daughter Candace (Mark) Cooper; treasured sisters Sue (the late Rodney) South and Sadie (Bob) Fleming; and many adoring nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother James (Wayvonne) Spraggins. Gene retired from the Ford Motor Company (UAW) and proudly served his country in the US Army. Funeral service will be conducted 11 AM, Sunday, August 7, 2011 at Heck Funeral Home in Milton, West Virginia. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 AM, prior to the service on Sunday. Burial will follow the service in Brown Cemetery, Balls Gap, WV. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Holy Family Hospice (6707 State Road, Parma, OH 44134).
