Martha Evelyn Stewart, 89, of Ironton, formerly of Milton, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 in JoLin Health Center, Ironton. She was born April 2, 1921 in Glenhuddie, WV, a daughter of the late Charles Jennings and Belva D. Hager McDaniel. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Thomas Patrick and Stephen Kent Stewart; five brothers; one sister. She was a devoted Christian and dedicated to her husband’s ministry. She was a member of Ice Creek Missionary Baptist Church, Ironton. She is survived by her husband, Rev. Marvin Stewart of Ironton; son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Ruth Stewart of Kitts Hill, OH; four grandchildren, George Lee (Lori) Stewart, Carrie (Jon Michael) Devine, Amy Stewart, and Katerina Stewart; five great grandchildren, Shane Michael Stewart, Brittany Leeann Stewart, Emily Devine, Grace Devine, and Claire Devine. Funeral service will be conducted 1:00 PM, Saturday, January 22, 2011 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton with Evangelist Glen Matthews and Rev. Roger Pierce officiating. Burial will follow in Culloden Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 1:00 PM on Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home.
