Alma Mae Chapman, 77, of Melbourne, FL went home to be with loved ones and the Lord on October 30, 2011. She was born January 29, 1934, a daughter of the late Sescoe and Mae Damron Isaacs. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Garrett Chapman; sisters, Virginia Isaacs and Betty Jo Adkins; brothers, Junior Isaacs, Don Isaacs, C.B. Isaacs and Ivan Isaacs. Mrs. Chapman was a Christ follower of the Melbourne Calvary Chapel Church. She taught Sunday school classes for teenagers and college students. She was a member of the Women’s Prayer Team. Her favorite Bible verse was Romans 10:13. She was a member of the Eastern Star, Medina, OH. She was a 1970 graduate of Morris Harvey College, Charleston, WV. She taught school 46 years. She was a mother of many special children whom she loved and thanked God for. She is survived by a lovely daughter, Karlene Adkins of Melbourne, FL; a precious granddaughter, Stacie Adkins of Palm Bay, FL and a very special great grandson, Emmanual Eric Christie of FL; one brother, Harold (Minnie) Isaacs of Scott Depot and a sister, Margaret James of West Hamlin. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 5, 2011 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton with Pastor Pete Davidson officiating. Burial will follow at Ridgelawn Memorial Park, Huntington. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, November 4th at the funeral home.
