Iva Mae Rider was born on August 29, 1927 to the late James and Theo Caldwell of Ona. She went to be with her Lord on January 8, 2012 in St. Mary’s Medical Center. She remained a resident of Ona, where she was a lifelong member of Beulah Ann Baptist Church. She was retired from the Huntington State Hospital. She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Wayne Junior Rider; daughters, Kim Rider of Ona and Barbara and her husband, Larry Caldwell of Kenova; sons, Mike and his wife, Carolyn of Milton, Dana and his wife, Charlotte of Charlotte, NC, Greg and his wife, Melinda of Wilmington, NC and Steve Rider and Ralph Rider, both of Ona; grandchildren, David and his wife, Phyllis of Barboursville, Danny and his wife, Natasha of Beckley, Deah and her husband, Matt of Milton, Jackie Rider of Columbia, SC, Jamie Rider of Charlotte, NC and Tina and her husband, Jimmy of Teays Valley; great grandchildren, Alex, Zack, Mark, Nathan, Jaiden, Allie, Josh, Caige, Corten and Chris; brothers, John Caldwell and his wife, Ilene, Carl Caldwell and his wife, Joyce and Gene Caldwell and his wife, Mildred; one sister, Anna Weatherholt, all of Ona. She will be sadly missed by special friends, Murril and Ann Chapman as well as a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at Heck Funeral Home, Milton with Pastor Paul Meadows officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Memorial Park, Milton. Friends may call one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
