Obituary
Rosa “Rose” May Smith Kiff,
89, of Barboursville passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2014 in Huntington
Health & Rehab Center. She was born August 25, 1925 in Milton, WV, a
daughter of the late Willie and Zelphia Keefer Smith. She was also preceded
in death by her husband, William Denzil “Dinty” Kiff; a son, Ben Alan Kiff;
and six siblings, William Smith, Arthur Smith, James Smith, Chester Smith,
Havana Smith Chittum and Violet Smith. Mrs. Kiff was a homemaker and a
member of Bethesda United Methodist Church, Ona for nearly 60 years. She is
survived by two daughters, Barbara “Bobby” Bowen of Huntington and Deborah
“Debbie” (Craig) Caldwell of Myrtle Beach, SC; one son, John R. Kiff of
Barboursville; one sister, Alberta Sutton Porter of Huntington; seven
grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren. At Rose’s request, there will be
no visitation. A private graveside service will be held at Forest Memorial
Park Mausoleum, Milton. Heck Funeral Home, Milton is in charge of
arrangements.
