Obituary
IRA H. SHILTZ, 77, went to be with
his Lord with his family by his side, including two very special nieces,
Wanda and Lisa Cremeans on Thursday, January 22, 2015. Ira was born June 9,
1937, to the late Fred S. Shiltz and Gertrude Shiltz in Scott Depot. Ira was
a retired glass blower that worked his entire career with Blenko Glass
Company in Milton, W.Va. Ira also spent many of his years as a volunteer
fireman with the Milton Volunteer Fire Department. Ira will long be
remembered as playing Santa Claus for the Milton Volunteer Fire Department
holiday ceremonies and parades prior to his illnesses. Ira was preceded in
death by his wife Vola M. Shiltz, his grandson Nickey A. Shiltz, his
granddaughter Mandy A. Jeffers-Stickler, and his daughter Suzy Cremeans most
recently. He is survived by his daughter Jeralisa Turley, her husband Scott,
their children Megan, Shelby and Spencer; daughter Mary Lula Shiltz, and son
Fred H. Shiltz, his wife Virginia Wysong-Shiltz, their children Christen,
Destiny, Fred Jr., and great-granddaughter Addilynn. He is also survived by
grandson Jonathan Jeffers, his wife Keisha Jeffers, their three children,
Mandy A. Jeffers-Stickler's husband Doug and their two sons. Ira was a great
husband, father, and father-in-law that will be missed by all that knew him.
Funeral service will be held at noon on Saturday, January 24, 2015, at Heck
Funeral Home, Milton with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial
will follow in Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Teays Valley.
