Obituary
Carlos Edison Cobb, 96, of Glenwood, WV, passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at the VA Medical Center in Huntington. Born April 18, 1919 in Huntington, he was the son of the late Martin Andrew Cobb and Hester Fannie Wooden. Carlos was a U.S. Army Veteran. He received a bronze star and a battle star for Poe Valley, France in 1943. He worked for C&O Railroad for 22 years until his retirement. Carlos was an easygoing and friendly man. He enjoyed relaxing on his porch and watching the boats go up and down the river. He is survived by his children, Josephine (Randall) Chapman of Fraziers Bottom, WV; Kay Francis Cadaz and Peggy Yvonne Cadaz; his grandchildren, Alfred Chapman of Glenwood, WV and Ronnie (Jennifer) Chapman of Fraziers Bottom, WV; his great-grandson, Christopher (Stephanie) Chapman of Lesage, WV and many other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Cobb, who passed away in 2003; and a grandson, Ronnie Lee Chapman, who passed away in 2001.Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at Heck Funeral Home, Milton. Burial with Military Honors will follow at the Fairfield Cemetery in Glenwood, WV. Friends may call on Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
