Obituary

WAUNDA LEE ADKINS, 83, of Huntington, West Virginia, passed away Friday, December 5, 2008 at St. Mary's Medical Center. She was born April 10, 1925, in Beloit, Wisconsin the daughter of Albert and Nellie O’Neil Adkins In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by husbands Paul Grass and Forrest Adkins and eight brothers and sisters. She is survived by four daughters, Jennifer and Eric Turley, Binnie and Jerry Howard, Candice and Steve Earl, Darlene Doss, and two sons James Grass, Forrest and Karen Adkins and a special adoptive son, David Blackburn, all of which are from Huntington. She is also survived by one sister, Wilma Cox of Greenville, SC and nine Grandchildren and several great Grand Children. She was a member of Pea Ridge United Methodist Church. Funeral service will be conducted on Monday, December 8, 2008 at 1:00 PM at HENSON MORTURARY, BARBOURSVILLE. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM, service time. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville with the Rev. Sue Jarrett officiating. The family would like to extend special thanks to St. Mary's Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit, Dr. Daniel Snavely and Dr. Ronald Brownfield.
