1912 - 2008

ELSIE B. YOUNG, 95, Huntington, WV, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2008,after a short illness, at St. Mary's Medical Center. Mrs. Young was born, December 29, 1912 in Spencer, WV, the daughter of the late, Eli B. and Icie E. Batten Hersman. Mrs. Young is preceded in death by her husband, Asa Otis Young, of Huntington, a son Victor Young of Huntington and a daughter Violet Warren of Hurricane. She was a retired Restaurant owner. She is survived by six grand children. Mike Young and wife, Cathy of Barboursville, Roy Lee Warren and wife Joyce of Scott Depot, Scott Young and wife Jani of Altus, OK, Carmen Johnson of Hurricane, Valerie Gabehart and husband Jim of Hamlin and Dana Young and wife Connie of Hurricane. Great Grandchildren surving her are; Jonathan Warren of Florida, Heather Young of Barboursville, Amy Carter of Huntington, Leah Davis of Hurricane, Kristi Young of Blair, OK, Shannon Young of Stillwater, OK, Justin Young of Altus, OK Amy Gabehart and Jimmy Gabehart of Hamlin. Great Great Grandchildren; Shyann Bishop of Hurrican, Daklota Young of Blair, OK. Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 35, 2008, at HENSON MORTUARY BARBOURSVILLE, AT 11:00AM. Burial will follow at Ridgelawn Memorial Park in Huntington. Minister Ron Ross and Minister David Gladwell will officiate. Visitation will be at the mortuary on Tuesday, March 4, 2008, from 6 PM to 8 PM. She will be missed by her many friends from the Church of Christ of Barboursville, neighbors and close friends who have blessed her life.
