Freelon H. Booten, Jr. 84 of Huntington, died Sunday, 08/16/2009 at his residence. He is survived by his wife Helen Booten.(2) daughters and husbands Nancy and Rick Hensley, Circleville, Ohio, Peggy and Bruce Peters- Barboursville,(1) sister- Barbara B. Catraw- Martinsburg, W.Va.(2) grandchildren Shannon Hensley, and Holly Smith, (1) great-grandchild Waylen Roese, (2) step-grandchildren Greg and Shannon Peters, several nieces and nephews. In additional to his parents he was preceded by a sister- Guila Stoner, He was born November 27, 1924 in Huntington a son of the late Freelon H. Booten Sr. and Opal Barbour Booton, He was a veteran of U.S. Army Air Corp, during WW11, He was a member of V.F.W. Post 9738, Guyandotte, and American Legion Post 177, Barboursville Funeral Mass will will be held Wednesday, August 19, 2009, 10:00A.M. at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church with Rev. Father James Sobus officiating Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Garden, Barboursville, Visitation will be Tuesday August 18, 2009, at Henson Mortuary from 6-9 P.M. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Huntington, or Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Henson Mortuary, Pea Ridge is handling arrangements .
