HAROLD H. FINLEY
Harold H. Finley, 85 of Milton, fought a good fight before he peacefully joined the Lord on Thursday, June 17, 2010 in St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 20, 2010 at Henson Mortuary with Rev. Mark Finley officiating. Burial will follow in Balls Gap Cemetery, Milton. He was born October 20, 1924 in Milton, WV, the son of the late Charlie and Ollie (Deacon) Finley and was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Hazel Finley. He is preceded in death by four sisters, Josie Finley, Clarie Triplett, Ellie Johnson, and Anna Hall; four brothers, Arthur, Larry, Glendal and Randall “Winkie” Finley; one son-in-law, Greg Summers. He was a member of the Balls Gap Baptist Church and was retired from Chemtron Corporation and enjoyed working on his farm. He is survived by two daughters, Linda L. Finley, Lisa (Finley) Summers both of Milton; a special grand-daughter, Christina Finley Kirtley (Clint) whom he loved as a daughter of Milton; two sons, Harold Eugene Finley (Darlene) and Charles Michael Finley both of Milton.; one sister, Verbie Manning of Milton; two sisters-in-law, JoAnn Chapman (Floyd) and Vada Sharp both of IN; one brother-in-law, Johnny Fitzwater of TX; eight grandchildren, Brad, Todd (Kandi), Laundell Finley, Tyler Summers, Sabrina Stover, Latisha Smith and Lawanna Adkins; four great-grandchildren with whom he lived, Makayla, Madyson, Layne, Lyvia; eight additional great-grandchildren, Dalton, Andrea, Cody, Laykin, Tanner, Braylin, Luci and Brailey; one great-great-grandchild, Braden; one very special friend, Frank Groggs of St. Albans, WV. Special thanks to the St. Mary’s CVICU staff and doctors. Friends may call from 6-9 p.m at Henson Mortuary, Barboursville.
