PAUL WILLIAM HICKS
Paul W. Hicks 70, of Barboursville, WV passed away, Monday, May 24, 2010 in St. Mary's Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 27, 2010 at Henson Mortuary with Rev. James Jobe officiating. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. He was born January 8, 1940 in Cabell, County, WV the son of the late Dallas Lewis and Lucille Katherine (King) Hicks Bowen. He is preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Emma Hicks; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He is survived by fours sons, Joe Hicks, Abel Hicks, Bill Hicks, Jessie Hicks all of Barboursville, WV; four daughters, Lueann Scarberry, Lynett Davis, Louise Hicks, Luella Shoemaker all of Barboursville, WV; seven sisters, Betty Clay of Barboursville, WV, Sharon Edmonds of Huntington, WV, Mary Roach of Lesage, WV, Sandy Dawson of Cross Lanes, WV, Mildred Jenkins, Ruth Jeffers both of Barboursville, WV, Melita Knight of Lesage, WV; two brothers, David Hicks,and Michael Hicks both of Barboursville, WV.; 30 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. He was formerly employed at H.K. Porter and Connors Steel and was a self employed carpenter and Handy-man. Special thanks to the staff of St. Mary’s Medical Center Dialysis Unit and the 4th floor nursing staff and the four-south teams. Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at Henson Mortuary, Barboursville.
