Obituary
MARY LUVENIA BROWN
Mary Luvenia Brown, 82 of Huntington, W.Va., went home to with the Lord on Friday, August 12, 2011 at her residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at Crossroads United Methodist Church of which she was a member with the Rev. David Cartwright officiating. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. She was born June 27, 1929 in Barboursville, W.Va. the daughter of the late Guy Harmon and Edith Blanche Mabe Frost. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert K. Brown in 2007; two sisters, Margaret Bias and Willie Eden. She was retired from the Social Security Administration working in Data Management, a volunteer at St. Mary’s Medical Center and a graduate of Barboursville High School. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Carla and Tom Brooks of Huntington and Rhonda and William DeHart of Prichard, W.Va.; five grandchildren, R. Shadrick DeHart, Sara E. DeHart, Paul T. Brooks, James K. E. Brooks, and Mary-Heather and husband, John Cross all of Huntington, W.Va. and one sister, Hazel Meadows of Huntington, W.Va. Special thanks to Hospice of Huntington, Shad and Rhonda DeHart and Mary-Heather Cross for their love and care. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, August 15, 2011 at Henson Mortuary, Barboursville and one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday.
