MARY ELIZABETH SMITH
(January 9, 1952 - October 12, 2012)

Mary Elizabeth (Jordan) Smith went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 12, 2012 in Philadelphia, PA. She was born January 9, 1952. She was the daughter of the late James Wallace and Elizabeth (Buehner) Jordan. Mary is survived by her husband Rev. Timothy Smith of Philadelphia, PA, three children, Timothy Smith Jr. (Kristy) of Bogart, GA, Tammy Gillespie (Randy) of Kissimmee, Fl, and Todd Smith of Philadelphia, PA, a sister Lucille Love, of Scottsdale, AZ, a brother George Jordan of Slatelick, PA, a sister, RuthAnn Howard of Butler, PA, and five grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Mary was an adored wife, exceptional mother and a cherished teacher. She began teaching in 1984 and taught Accelerated Christian Education (ACE) in the states of Washington, California, Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, South Carolina, and recently in Pennsylvania. Mary was also an accomplished seamstress. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Friday, October 19, 2012 at Henson Mortuary, Barboursville, WV, with Dr. Kenneth Walters of Rock Hill, SC. officiating. Entombment will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, WV. Friends may call from 10:00 AM until service time at Henson Mortuary, Barboursville, WV on Friday, October 19, 2012.
