THEOLA COWLEY JOHNSON
(September 20, 1924 - June 20, 2013)

Theola “Jonnie” Cowley Johnson, 88 of Huntington, WV, passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2013 in St. Mary's Medical Center, Huntington, WV. She was born September 20, 1924 in Smithville, Mississippi, the daughter of the late John and Alma Jackson Cowley. She was a retired dental receptionist and a member of Fifth Avenue Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband of over 72 years, David W. Johnson of Huntington, WV; three children, David Leslie Johnson of Jackson, Mississippi, Jonnie Claire Johnson of Huntington, WV and Charlotte West (Mark) of Columbus, Ohio; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Monday, June 24, 2013 at Oaklawn Memorial Park, Huntington, WV with Dr. Allen Reasons and Rev. Hubert Harvey officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Living Stones Campaign of Fifth Avenue Baptist Church, 1135 5th Ave. Huntington, WV 25701. Henson & Kitchen Mortuary, Barboursville, WV is caring for the family.
