SHELBY "JACK" IRWIN
(March 5, 1931 - August 16, 2015)

Shelby “Jack” Irwin, 84 of Huntington, W.Va., passed away, Sunday, August 16, 2015 in Price Road Health and Rehabilitation Center in Newark, OH.  He was born March 5, 1931 in Huntington, W.Va. the son of the late Shelby and Gladys Thomason Irwin. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Patricia Anderson Irwin and his second wife, Norma Wright “Skippy” Irwin; a son, Richard Irwin and daughter, Tricia Danskin.  He was a member of the former St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Barboursville, former Boy Scout Leader, Kentucky Colonel, Inventor and Real Estate owner.  He is survived by four sons, Jeffery Irwin (Sheryl) of Pataskala, OH; Jack Irwin of Huntington, W.Va.; Matt Irwin (Kay) of Houston, TX. and David  Irwin (Kim) of Huntington, W.Va. and a son-in-law, Gary Danskin (Robin) of Petaluma, CA; Eleven grandchildren, Summer Hepler (Daniel), Caitlyn Reil, Megan Danskin, Pam Danskin, Kerri Jones (Rob), Kaiti Forman (Chase), Susan Richardson (Bobby), April Moreno (Max),  Sarah Irwin, Brian Donovan and Kylee Wiswell (Leif); Great-great-grandchildren, Brianna, Mackenzie, Jakson, Grady, Cora, Catherine, Charlotte, Jake, Emily, Kyle, Amelia, Gavin, Savannah, Lorelei, Logan, Trinity, Madelyn. A Celebration of Jack’s Life will be conducted at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at Henson & Kitchen Mortuary, Huntington, W.Va. near Barboursville.  The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service. The family request that memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
