BETHEL JARRELL MCCOMAS
(March 31, 1930 - February 5, 2015)

Mr. Bethel Jarrell McComas, 84 of Barboursville, W.Va. passed away, Thursday, February 05, 2015. He was born March 31, 1930 in Chapmanville, W.Va. the son of the late, Homer Ellis Sr. and Ruth Agnes Rousey McComas. He was a 1947 graduate of Huntington East High School, retired Signal Maintainer from C&O Railroad, a member of Seaside United Methodist Church, Sunset Beach, NC and a fifty year member of the Chelyan Masonic Lodge # 158, Chelyan, W.Va. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ann McComas in 2010; one son, Timothy Allen McComas; one granddaughter, Terra Marie Samons; four brothers, Glen Richard, Homer Ellis, Jr. and John Vanloe McComas. He is survived by one son, David McComas of Stuart, Fla; one daughter, Rebecca Samons (Terry) of Sevierville, TN; eight grandchildren, Natalie, Brian, Carly, Chelyan and Caitlyn McComas and John, Nicholas and Jared Samons; five great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Henson & Kitchen Mortuary with Rev. John Duncan officiating. Burial will follow in the Enon Cemetery, Salt Rock, W.Va. The family will receive friends from 6-9 PM on Friday, February 6, 2015 at Henson & Kitchen Mortuary, Barboursville, W.Va.
