DORIS JEAN WILSON
(October 2, 1931 - February 3, 2016)

Doris Jean Murphy Wilson, 84 of Milton, W.Va. passed away, Wednesday, February 3, 2016 in Midland Meadows Senior Living Community, Ona, W.Va.  She was born October 2, 1931 in Cabell County, W.Va. the daughter of the late, Roy McKinley and Golda Rayburn Morris. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles B. Murphy; a son, Charles Michael Murphy; daughter, Connie Jo Murphy and her second husband, Everett Wilson. She attended Asbury College, Wilmore, KY and was a graduate of Marshall University where she was a music major.  She was a longtime church musician, teacher with Cabell County Schools and a member of Milton Methodist Church.  She is survived by one son Morris Murphey and his wife, Marsha of Hurricane, W.Va; three grandsons; three great grandchildren; a sister, Betty Harbour; a dear aunt, Helen Smith both of Milton, W.Va.  Great appreciation is extended to Midland Meadows and their kind staff. Per her request funeral services will be private offering no public visitation. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Huntington or the Cabell Wayne Association of the blind. Henson & Kitchen Mortuary, Barboursville, W.Va. is caring for the family.
