MARK J. ADKINS
(February 22, 1931 - January 30, 2016)

Mark Jonathan Adkins, 84 of Huntington, W.Va. passed away, Saturday, January 30, 2016 in St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, W.Va. He was born February 22, 1931 in Lincoln County, W.Va. the son of the late, Watson and Inez McCann Adkins. He was retired from Owens Illinois Glass Plant. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two sons, Kenneth Michael and Mark Steven Adkins and five brothers. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Stollings Adkins and daughter, Deborah Adkins both of Huntington, W.Va; one son and Bryan (Carla) Adkins of Proctorville, OH; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and one sister, Virginia Adkins.   Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 PM at the Woodmere Memorial Park Abbey of Remembrance Mausoleum with Dr. Larry Greene officiating with burial following the services.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at Henson & Kitchen Mortuary, Barboursville, W.Va. The family requests memorial donations to be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Mark’s memory.
