Ida Louise Black Thompson, 63, of Huntington, W.Va. along with her two grandchildren Nashaya Lanette and Maeshelle Lee'Na Audu went home to be with their Lord on Saturday, January 9, 2016. Ida was born May 30, 1952 in Huntington, W.Va. the daughter of the late, Robert Black and Willie Mae Jackson Harper. She was a retired housekeeper from Marshall University. She is survived by four children, Bryan, Terry, Nicole and Lisa Thompson all of Huntington, W.Va; three sisters, Roberta Fox, Birmingham, AL, Jo Ann Chukwuemeka of Huntington, W.Va. and Susette Simms of Huntington, W.Va. one brother, Bob Miller of Huntington, W.Va. a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and a special friend of the family, Willis. aunts, Minnie Lee Gunn, Norma Keith uncles, James Jackson all of Huntington, W.Va. and Jimmy Jackson, NC.; nine grandchildren, Destiny Thompson, Bryon Cochran, Malasia Griffin, Andre Branch, Jr, Darrious Branch, Keirren Thompson, Mariah Thompson, Bryonna Thompson and Jasmin Slaughter. A Celebration of their lives will be jointly conducted at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at Lewis Memorial Baptist Church, 5385 W. Pea Ridge Rd. Huntington, W.Va. 25705 with services streamed live and viewed at www.lmbc.tv. with Dr. David Lemming and William Slone officiating. A Dinner will be served following the services at the A.D. Lewis Boys Club, 1450 A.D. Lewis Ave. Huntington, W.Va. 25701. Henson & Kitchen Mortuary, Barboursville, W.Va. is caring for the family.
