Sabra Gladys Blankenship Rowe, 93 of Huntington, W.Va. passed away, Friday, October 28, 2016 at home. She was born April 5, 1923 in East Lynn, W.Va. the daughter of the late, Lindsay and Laura Adkins Blankenship. She was a homemaker, Baptist by faith, former cook at Kiwanis Daycare, former owner of Holiday Cottages and member of the Huntington Woman’s Bowling Association. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paris Rowe; daughter-in-law, Kathleen Rowe; sisters and brothers, Quille Adkins, Nanny Perry, Estil Perry, Taylor, Hiram, Clyde, Claude and Andy Blankenship and Sarah Isaacs. She is survived by her children, Thurman Rowe of Huntington, W.Va, Herman Rowe (Judy) of Huntington, W.Va, Carlos Rowe (Connie) of Proctorville, OH, Harold Minis Rowe (Crystal) of Huntington, W.Va. and Glenna Kress (Larry) of Lesage, W.Va; eleven grandchildren; Carl, Rodney, Timmy, Lora and Jeff Rowe, Teresa Smith, Matthew Rowe, Jennifer Ann Asbury, Lisa Gayle Bowen, Larry Dayton Kress II. and Jeremy Kress. and several great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Monday, October 31, 2016 at Henson & Kitchen Mortuary; Huntington, W.Va. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, W.Va. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service on Monday at the mortuary. At her request, In lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to Hospice of Huntington.
