Irvin Hager, 77 of Huntington, WV passed away, Friday, September 7, 2018 in the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. He was born November 24, 1940 in Pikeville, KY the son of the late, Daniel and Nancy Ellen Mays Hager. He was retired from BASF Chemical Company, Huntington, WV and was a U.S. Army Veteran. In addition to his parents, Irvin was preceded in death by his sister Mellie Hager Reed and two brothers, Frank and Clifford Hager. He is survived by his best friend, co-worker and companion of 25 years, Joyce Thompson of Huntington, WV, the love of his life, his grandchildren, Alayna Madisun Dempsey, Carsun James Dempsey and Trevor Demsey; sisters, Delores Hendrickson and Magnaline “Meg” Thompson; nieces and nephews, Betty Jo Waller Peterson, Nicosia Cyprus, Sandra Varnell, Anita Sue Franklin, and John Thompson. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Thursday, Sept. 13, 2018 at Henson and Kitchen Mortuary East Pea Ridge Road, Huntington, WV with Lee Dean officiating. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. Friends will be received from 11:00 AM until service time on Thursday at the mortuary.
