Marlyn Loretta Wolfe McClendon, 82 of Huntington, WV, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at her residence. She was born April 28, 1936 in Kingwood, WV, the daughter of the late Charles and Lucy Conner Wolfe. She was a retired Chef working for multiple restaurants, but most notably the Alpine Lake Resort in Preston County, WV. More than anything, she loved spending time with her family and loved to cook. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Frank McClendon, Sr., and a son-in-law, Dennis Jurs. She is survived by her children; Joseph Frank (Rosaly) McClendon, Jr. of Huntington, WV, Erin M. (James) McClendon of Ft. Worth, TX, Julia McClendon of Hampshire, IL, Dale Lynn (Yong) McClendon of Huntington, WV, and John McClendon of Huntington, WV; two sisters; Shirley Mae (Alex) Turner and Judy Lane (John) Rehe; two brothers; Robert Reed (Shirley) Wolfe and William Wayne (Sherry) Wolfe; grandchildren; Misty (Eric) Montes, Jillian Hovatter (Nathan Rucker), Joseph Frank (Stephanie) McClendon, III., Marlyn Y. McClendon (Clay Condon), Corrie Ann McClendon, Sheena (Brandon) Stone, Kyla Jo McClendon, Kristin McClendon, Emma McClendon, Abby McClendon, and Micaela Stillpass; great-grandchildren; Aubrey (Genaro) Arzate, Bailey Montes, Castillo Montes, Adelaide Rucker, Alyssa and Savannah McClendon, Louella Condon, Tucker Montgomery, Carter Stone, Hadley Bowen, and Landon Miller; and a host of family and friends. Graveside Services will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Monday, March 18, 2019 in the Grafton National Veterans Cemetery, Grafton, WV, where she will be laid to rest beside of her husband.
