Annabelle Patrick Welch, 92 of Huntington, West Virginia, passed away on March 8, 2019 at Cabell Huntington Hospital. She was born on May 7, 1926 in Huntington, WV; the daughter of the late James Patrick and Edna Thompson Patrick. She was a homemaker and a charter member of Open Door Baptist Church in Huntington as well as a member of the Westmoreland Woman's Club. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Billie Cooper; sister, Jimmie Parsley; and brother, Dick Patrick. She is survived by her loving husband of 72 years, William "Bill" Welch of Huntington; daughter, Kay Welch Barrett of Huntington; four grandchildren, Cindy Simpkins of Huntington, Missy Nicely of Circleville, OH, Alonzo (Jon) Smith of Myrtle Beach, SC, Buck Smith of Myrtle Beach; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; as well as a host of family and friends. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at the Open Door Baptist Church, 1900 Madison Avenue, Huntington, WV with Pastor Dustin Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington, WV. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until service time on Wednesday at the church. Henson and Kitchen Mortuary, 6357 E.
