Peggy Sue Reed Hicks, 84 of Barboursville, West Virginia, passed away Thursday, July 16, 2020. She was born July 16, 1936; the daughter of the late Basil and Mable Hoosier Reed. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James L. Hicks and one brother, Jack Griffith. She was a retired telephone operator and a member of Steele Memorial United Methodist Church. Peggy is survived by her children, James R. Hicks of Huntington, West Virginia and Lisa Hicks Omohundro of Mooresville, North Carolina; sisters, Carol Watters, Peggy Wolfe and Joyce Lucas; grandchildren, JC Bell, Kyri Miller, Ethan Hicks, and Claire Omohundro; eight great grandchildren; and a host of many nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Monday, July 20, 2020 at Ridgelawn Memorial Park, Abbey of Devotion Mausoleum Chapel. Burial will follow. Those attending the service are asked to follow the current COVID-19 Guidelines.
