Obituary
Lois Wilcox Call, devoted wife, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend went home to be with Jesus on March 30, 2020. ois was born in Fayette County, West Virginia on April 24, 1928, the daughter of William and Adelaide Evans. She married Bill Wilcox and had three children, Vickie Joyce who died at just 4 days old, David (Susie) of Mocksville, NC and Roger (Shirley) of Keyser, WV. She is survived by three grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She married Homer Call of Huntington after her husband Bill passed away. She has many friends in West Virginia and North Carolina due to her sweet disposition and love of others. Her parents, both husbands, and five sisters and their spouses passed away before her. Her precious dog, Marley, will also miss her greatly. Lois was the last surviving family member in her generation. he worked as an inspector at Owens-Illinois for 35 years. She was a caregiver for both of her husbands. Lois moved to North Carolina in 2012 to be near her oldest son, David, and daughter-in-law, Susie. She was a member of Jerusalem Baptist Church in Mocksville, NC and a former member of Pea Ridge Baptist in Huntington, WV. The family wants to thank the staff of Somerset Court and Trellis Supportive Care for their wonderful and devoted care to Lois. Visitation will be on Thursday, April 2, 2020 from 5:00-7:00 at Henson & Kitchen Mortuary in Huntington, WV. Due to the recent COVID-19 Pandemic, Henson & Kitchen Mortuary, will be honoring the recommendation and will only allow 10 people or less at one time during the visitation and funeral services. There will be a graveside service on Friday, April 3rd at 11:00 at White Chapel Memorial Gardens where she will be buried next to her beloved husband, Bill Wilcox.
