Marie Desole Trimble, 83 of Huntington, passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2020 at Heritage Center in Huntington. She was born August 7, 1936 in Wayne County; the daughter of the late Ernest Dean and Stella Cotton. She was a former employee of Bailey's Cafeteria. In addition to her parents, Marie was preceded in death by her husband, James Hatcher Trimble, daughter, Patsy Morrison, granddaughter, Missy Marie Thacker, great- grandson, Trey Vaughn, and all of her siblings. She is survived by her children, Larry Gene Merritt, Linda Lou (Russell) Adkins, Debra Marie Midkiff, Randy Daris Merritt, all of Huntington, WV, Ray Allen (Linda Gayle) Merritt of Milton, WV and Tammy Lynn (Paul) McComas of Barboursville, WV; eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at Henson & Kitchen Mortuary, 6357 E. Pea Ridge Road, Huntington, WV, near Barboursville on Friday, April 3, 2020 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Hurston Webb. Private family burial will follow at Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington, WV. The family will receive friends two hours prior to services at the mortuary. Due to the recent COVID-19 Pandemic, Henson & Kitchen Mortuary will be honoring the recommendation and will only allow 10 people or less at one time during the visitation.
