Obituary
Phillip Thomas Griggs, 79 of
Huntington, WV, went to be with his Lord on Sunday, April 11, 2021 in
St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, WV. He was born January 15, 1943
in Central City, KY. He was a retired mechanic with the City of
Huntington Sanitary Board and was an licensed electrician. In addition
to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his son, Michael
Porter-Griggs. He is survived by his wife, Dorcas Jones Griggs of
Huntington, WV; children, Jeff Porter of Lexington, KY, Tim (Debbie)
Porter of Kenova, WV; Deborah Logan of Columbus, OH; Tabitha Hickey of
Huntington, WV; Phillip (Candace) Porter of Greenup, KY and Zachary
Porter-Griggs of Huntington, WV and a host of grandchildren. Funeral
services will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Friday, April at Pentecostal
Lighthouse Church 2909 Rt. 75 Huntington, WV 25704. The family will
receive friends from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM service time on Friday 16,
2021 at the Pentecostal Lighthouse Church. Henson and Kitchen Mortuary
is caring for the family.
