William Hayes "Bill" Mayo, 63 of Huntington, West Virginia, went home to be with the Lord on February 02, 2021. He was born March 09, 1957 in Huntington, WV; son of James Russell "Jim" Mayo and Shirley Walker Mayo. He was a US Army veteran. He was preceded in death by maternal grandmother, Virgie Marie Simmons and paternal grandfather, Rutherford Hayes Mayo. In addition to his parents, Bill is survived by his wife, Cathy Bridges Mayo; children, William "Bill" Chafin, Nathan (Jessica) Mayo, Kiana Mayo (Gary McComas), Priscilla Mayo (Blake) Gundy; grandchildren, Aaliyah Mayo, Daisy McComas, Myla McComas, Mayleigh Gundy, Braylen Gundy, Taylor Mayo, Trace Cerlan, Kimberly Murphy, Johnathan Murphy, and Christopher Murphy ;siblings, Edna Marie (Gary) Parsons, Charles “Chuck” (Darlene) Mayo; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be conducted at Henson & Kitchen Mortuary, 6357 E. Pea Ridge Road, Huntington, WV 25705 on Monday, February 08, 2021 at Noon with Pastor Bob Hale officiating. Burial will follow in Mayo Cemetery, Huntington. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the mortuary. The service will be Live-Streamed on Henson & Kitchen Mortuary's website, Facebook and Youtube Pages beginning at Noon, Monday. Those in attendance are asked to follow current COVID-19 Guidelines.
