Richard Woodrow Wilson Sydnor Jr, 81 of Huntington, passed away February 11, 2021 at St. Mary's Medical Center, in Huntington. He was born March 09, 1939 in Hinton, WV; son of the late Richard Woodrow Wilson Sydnor Sr. and Mildred L. Porter Sydnor. He is a veteran of the US Navy and Army. Richard attended Marshall University in Huntington, WV, where we obtained his Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Business Administration. He was a graduate of West Virginia University, where he received his Doctor of Jurisprudence. Richard was an accomplished attorney in Huntington, WV, practicing for 24 years. In addition to his work, he enjoyed traveling with his family and going back to Hinton, WV where he was born and raised. While visiting Hinton, he enjoyed talking with old friends and fishing for small mouth bass in the New River. Richard was also a long time member of Enslow Park Presbyterian Church in Huntington. He is survived by his loving wife, Stephanie Sydnor; children, Ronnie Anderson, Seth Anderson, Adam Sydnor, Grace Sydnor, Claire Sydnor and Martha Sydnor; half sister, Susan Sydnor; and a host of friends.
