Warren Rudolph "Rudy" Burton, Jr. 74 of Huntington, WV passed away, Thursday, October 14, 2021 in St. Mary's Medical Center, Huntington, WV. He was born May 29, 1947 in Portsmouth, VA; son of the late Warren Rudolph Burton, Sr. and Naomi Kegley Burton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn "Evie" Noreen Boggess Burton. Warren served in the United States Army during Vietnam. He was the recipent of the Vietnam Service Medal, National Defnese Service Medal, Bronze Star and received two Purple Hearts. After his service in the Army, he worked for the Hampton Division of Fire and Rescue and the Newport News Shipyard. He is survived by one sister, Joyce Bentley of Yorktown, VA; one daughter, Leigh Amber Howell of Newport News, VA; three grandchildren, Allison P. Howell, Katherine E. Pinos, Alexis M. Pinos; and one great-grandchild, Evelyn Marie Grace Howell. At his request, he will be cremated with no services held. Burial and military honors will take place at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, West Virginia at a later date.
