Obituary
Ronnie Dale Thompson, 65 of
Huntington, WV, passed from this life into his eternal resting place to be
with his mom Joyce and brother Randy on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at home with
his loving wife Nina by his side. Ronnie was born June 19, 1956 in Louisa,
KY. The son of Arthur and Joyce Thompson, Wayne, WV, both deceased. Ronnie
is survived by his loving wife Nina Thompson, Huntington, WV; their Navy son
Joe and wife Angie and grandchildren, Brayden and Brianna of Maryland, who
he was so proud of. He was also survived by a son, Ronnie Combs and
daughter, Crystal Adkins. Ronnie was one of four siblings, Eddie Thompson of
Myrtle Beach, SC, Barbara Watts and husband Jackie of East Lynn, WV and the
late Randy Thompson who passed away six months ago in November 2021. Ronnie
is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews who loved their uncle
Ronnie, Eddie's children, Isaiah and Taylor of Myrtle Beach, SC, Ashlee and
husband Nolan and Chloe and Casey Scarborough of Myrtle Beach, SC, Missy
Thompson of Wayne, WV. Barbara and Jackie's daughter Arnicia Frye of East
Lynn, WV. Ronnie was a Drywall Finisher by trade and was one of the best .
He was a lifetime member of Local 970 Charleston, WV and all contractors
wanted him to work for them. He was dedicated and an expert in his field.
Ronnie will be sadly missed by family, friends, co-workers, and everyone
that knew him. He would do anything he could to help anyone. He had a host
of wonderful cousins who loved him dearly. Ronnie lived his life to the
fullest with all its trials and tribulations and was ready to finally enjoy
retirement with wife Nina until he become sick. Now he gets to enjoy it with
Mom, Randy, and Jesus Christ.
Funeral services will be conducted at Henson & Kitchen Mortuary, 6357 E. Pea
Ridge Road, Huntington, WV 25705 on Friday, June 3, 2022 at 12:00 PM, Noon
with Pastor Eddie Thompson and Pastor John Williamson officiating. Burial
will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Barboursville, WV. The
family will receive friends from 11:00AM-Noon on Friday, at the mortuary.
