Mrs. Leora Avon Yoak, age 91, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away Tuesday morning, October 19th, 2022, at her residence. She was born on July 3rd, 1931, in Davenport Iowa, the daughter of the

Leora was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Dr. Robert Walter Yoak of Bethlehem GA, formally Huntington WV; and stepson Rodney Yoak of Almo, KY. She was a Christian by faith and a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, and reading, and an avid collector of colored glass, especially vintage red and green glass. She was a past patron of the Order of Eastern Star in Guyandotte, WV, and a member of the Antique Automobile Club of America. Leora is survived by her stepdaughter and son-in-law, Janet Light (Toney) of Hot Springs Arkansas; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her. The Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 27, 2022, at Christ’s Church of Yukon in Yukon Oklahoma with Pastor Clay Parrett officiating.  There will be an immediate burial in Oaklawn Cemetery and Memorial Park, Huntington,
