Edith Rosalie Moore
(September 3, 1924 - June 24, 2011)

Edith Rosalie (Lemley) Moore, 86, of Huntington, WV died at Century Oaks Assisted Living, Oshkosh WI near her family. She was born to the late James and Edith Zickefoose on September 3, 1924 in Charleston WV. The family moved to Huntington early in her life, and Huntington was always home to her. Rosalie returned to Business School, and was later employed by Schlumberjer. She was, also, employed by Capitol Finance for years until she was hired by Life of Virginia Insurance Co. as Office Manager. She retired from Life of Virginia Insurance Co., and then worked with the Southeastern Council on Aging until 2000. Rosalie and family were members of Seventh Avenue Baptist Church. Rosalie is survived by 4 children: Paula (Tom) L’Esperance of Oshkosh WI; Donna Weir (wife of late Thomas Weir); Ann (Tom) Butts of Washington, PA; and Marc Moore (Whitney Justice, Financee) of Proctorville, OH. She is, also, survived by 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. The Family would like to offer special “Thank Yous” to the staff of Cabell County Community Services Organization; Wyngate Senior Living , Barboursville, WV; Century Oaks Assisted Living, Oshkosh, WI and Heartland Hospice. All of these organizations gave our Mother their Best. A funeral service will be held Tuesday June 28, 2:00 P.M. at Klingel-Carpenter Mortuary. Interment will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held an hour before the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Boys and Girl’s Club of Huntington WV.
