Heather Rutherford, 52, of Huntington, WV died Thursday, June 14, 2012 at her home. She was born January 23, 1960 in Huntington, a daughter of the late Edwin Reese and Amy Jean Sweet Higgins. Heather was a graduate of the St. Mary's School of Nursing of which she was a RN and worked for both St. Mary's Medical Center and Cabell Huntington Hospital. She is survived by a son, Reese Rutherford of Huntington and a daughter, Ali Samara Rutherford of Barboursville and a sister, Lisa Higgins of Huntington. A private inurnment will take place at the St. John's Episcopal Church. No formal services are planned.
