Patricia H Adams

Patricia Hart Adams, 83, of Huntington, WV, widow of James E. Adams, entered heaven August 29, 2015. Her funeral service will be held September 8, 2015 at Trinity Episcopal Church, 520 11th St., Huntington at 11:00 am. Interment will follow the service in the columbarium. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Patricia was born September 6, 1931, to the late Harry Leroy Hart and the late Elsie Virginia McPherson Hart. She graduated from Maryland University and received her Masters in Education from Marshall University. She taught school in Wayne County. She tirelessly served the community through the Pediatric Clinic of Huntington, Appalachian Craftsman, and the Girl Scouts. Through Trinity Episcopal Church she served in numerous capacities including the altar guild and vestry. As a master gardener, Patricia grew vegetables for her family and beautified areas of Huntington. Patricia leaves her sisters of Alpha Chi Omega sorority and her dearest friends and bridge partners. She is survived by her children: Scott Adams of Ozark MO; Susan DeVore of Hampstead, MD; Stephen Adams of Murrells Inlet, SC, and five grandchildren. We are thankful for the caring staff at the Woodlands and Hospice of Huntington. In lieu of flowers, consider a donation to Trinity Episcopal Church or Hospice of Huntington.
