William Ronald Stark
(January 1, 1944 - August 1, 2015)



William Ronald Stark, 71, of Huntington, passed away Saturday, August 1, 2015 in the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at Klingel-Carpenter Mortuary with visitation from noon until service time. Interment will follow in Woodmere Memorial Park. Ron was born January 1, 1944 in Pittsburgh, PA, a son of the late William R. and Violet Stark. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one son, Todd Andrew Stark and by one brother, Gary Stark. He was a 1961 graduate of Huntington High School and served his country with the U.S. Army. He was a member of the B.P.O.E. Elks 313, American Legion and the VFW. He did voluntary work at the Huntington VA for many years. Ron retired from Stark Electric, Inc. and also had the Lawrence County Electric Company in Proctorville, OH. Survivors include two sons, Ronald Reed Stark and Clay Anthony Stark; one daughter, Dusti Jane Stark; grandchildren, Amethyst, Chase, William Stark, Brittney and husband, Korey and Katlin and Brandy; great-grandchildren, Lydia, Jadin, Travon and William Feeham; two sisters, Karen Stark and Judy Conard and husband, Tom; two nephews, Michael Reed Stark and Andrew Reed Stark; one niece, Stacey Gracey and husband, Dan; one great-niece, Brook Gracey and one great-nephew, Hunter Gracey; and his special dog, Reddog. Ronnie has suffered for 32 years with a brain aneurism , strokes, lung cancer and throat cancer. The family would like to offer a “thank you” to Dr. Carl McComas and nurse, Brenda over the 32 years of service. Many “thanks” to the guys who came and played cards with him on Monday night as it meant so much to him. And “thanks” to his caregivers, Oliva, Shelly and Alisa.
