VERNAL WRIGHT
(September 27, 1922 - December 18, 2015)

Vernal Wright “Junior”, 93, of Huntington, passed December 18, 2015 at Huntington Health and Rehab Center. Born in Monaville, WVa, to the late Lephew Wright and Nancy Belle Chafin Wright Jones. He is also predeceased by his sister Thelma Farley and grandson, Amos Ridenour. Vernal and his wife Margie celebrated their 73rd anniversary in November. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He worked for WV Coal and Coke and retired after 32 years from the Ohio River Company as an Electrician. Vernal is survived by his wife, Margie June Wright; daughters, Constance Brown of Huntington and Jane (John) Ridenour of Chesapeake, VA; three grandchildren, Tad Dials of Wayne, WV, Cassie Crowder of Jacksonville, FL and Sara Anderson of Virginia Beach, VA; seven great-grandchildren, Kimmy, Tyler, Casey, Shae, Devon, Ethan and Grace; and many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 2pm, Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at Klingel-Carpenter Mortuary. Visitation will be from 1pm until service time. Burial will follow at Woodmere Memorial Park.
