Mildred Irene Mitchell

Mildred Irene Mitchell, 101, of Mechanicsburg, PA, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2015, at Forest Park Health Center, Carlisle, PA. She was born on November 18, 1913, in Huntington, WV. She was a member of Mechanicsburg Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, B.I. Mitchell, and a son, Martin Mitchell. She is survived by a daughter, Marilyn M. Heckert, and her husband, Ober, of Mechanicsburg, PA; a son, George G. Mitchell, and his wife, Dianna, of Newark, NY; a sister, Betty Mullins, of Springfield, OH; 12 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 8, 2015, at Mechanicsburg Presbyterian Church with Reverend Kathryn Z. Johnston and Reverend Myrtle E. McCall officiating. There will be a viewing from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Interment will be held in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, WV. Contributions may be made to Mechanicsburg Presbyterian Church, 300 Simpson Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055. Stone & Murray Funeral Home, New Cumberland is handling arrangements.
